PARSONS DESIGN PROJECT

The Riedel Family has always believed in not only staying on top of the trends, but leading them.  As a way to cultivate new talent, Maximilian Riedel spearheaded the partnership with the renowned Parsons The New School for Design to create a competition for students to develop new designs for Riedel’s lifestyle brand, Nachtmann, while at the same time providing them with real-world design experience.

The competition’s winner, Viktoriya Braginsky, created the successful Slice vase.  Introduced to the market in 2009 under the Nachtmann label, Slice garnered rave reviews and was extended into a line of vases, votives and a Champagne cooler.
